Who May Benefit From Orthodontic Care?

Teeth that are properly aligned can be easier to clean and maintain as part of a healthy oral hygiene routine. Invisalign may be suitable for patients who have:

  • Crowded teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Misaligned teeth
  • Overbites, underbites, or crossbites
  • Teeth alignment concerns they would like assessed

A consultation is required to determine whether Invisalign is appropriate for your individual needs.

How Invisalign Aligners Work

Invisalign aligners are custom-made using advanced 3D imaging technology. Digital scans are used to create a personalised treatment plan that maps out the gradual movement of your teeth throughout treatment.

Patients wear each set of aligners for approximately one to two weeks before progressing to the next set in the series. Aligners should generally be worn for 20-22 hours each day unless otherwise directed by your dentist.

Because the aligners are removable, they can be taken out for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

What to Expect During Treatment

Initial Consultation

Your Invisalign journey begins with a consultation and assessment. During this visit, your dentist will discuss your goals, evaluate your oral health, and determine whether Invisalign may be suitable for your circumstances.

Digital Treatment Planning

If Invisalign is appropriate for your needs, digital scans will be used to develop a customised treatment plan.

Wearing Your Aligners

You’ll receive a series of aligners designed to be worn throughout the day and changed at regular intervals as directed by your dentist.
